About the Coffee Roasting Experience:

Duration: Approx 3 hours

Age limit: To attend you must be 18 years or older. Not suitable for pregnant women or people prone to caffeine sensitivity.

Please note: Event requires a minimum of 4 people to attend, flexibility to move to another date may be necessary if we don’t reach the minimum number of attendees

– Coffee & light pastries or biscuits on arrival

– Introduction to the coffee bean journey from plant to cup. Exploring harvesting and processing methods and how these impact flavour.

– Introduction to roasting coffee. Learn about the factors that affect the coffee profile whilst witnessing live our roaster in action.

– Tasting time! Learn the art of cupping and taste single origins from around the world. Your taste buds will experience the unique flavours and aromas that each coffee has to offer.

–Learn how to brew the perfect cup at home. Featuring 3 brewing methods.

– As a token of this memorable experience, each guest will get a 227g bag of coffee roasted on the day to take home.

Booking

Once a specific date has been booked, you will automatically become bound by the terms and conditions set in this document. Please note that experiences are subject to minimum attendance. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please do not arrive at a venue expecting to redeem your gift voucher other than on the date you have booked with us. The Barista’s Shed will not be held liable for any costs incurred if you attend your experience on the wrong date.

Event Duration

Details of event duration given on the website and gift voucher are to be used as a guide only. The information on our website and voucher is meant as an indication of what to expect at the session in respect of which your voucher is redeemed.

Validity and Extensions

In case you need to reschedule your Coffee Roasting Experience, vouchers are valid for twelve months from the date of purchase.

If you need some extra time to use your voucher past its 12 months validity, we offer quick and easy extensions. Please contact us via email at thebaristashed@gmail.com to extend your voucher. Vouchers can only be extended if they are still inside their expiry date.
An administration fee of £20 will be required to extend your voucher. If the activity has increased in price, you may also need to pay the difference in price.

Cancellations and Refunds

Once you book a specific date for your experience with us, you are bound by our Terms and Conditions regarding cancellations..

Please be informed that in order to cancel without any penalty you must inform us of your intention to cancel and reschedule with us up to 7 days prior to the experience is set to take place.

We’re happy to make refunds on unused vouchers within 30 days of purchase.

All refunds will be made to the person who purchased the voucher and they will be refunded directly via the original method of payment. Should this not be possible for any reason, the refund shall be issued by bank transfer only.

All refunds are processed at month-end and take between 5 and 10 working days to show in the purchaser’s account. To request a refund please contact us via e-mail at thebaristashed@gmail.com and our team will handle your request within 5 working days.

We reserve the right to cancel and reschedule an experience where we have not reached the minimum number of participants (3). You will be informed up to 48h before the experience takes place.

In the event that we are unable to run the experience due to mechanical/ technical issues or severe weather conditions, you will be provided with the options to reschedule, transfer the voucher to another person or receive a refund.

Health & Safety

Note that we require participants to comply with specified safety procedures. Please listen if we ask you to do something – it is generally for your safety.

It is the responsibility of each guest to ascertain their caffeine limitations and manage their caffeine intake.

Social Media Guidelines

We have no restrictions regarding filming or photographing yourself during the experience, however you must not upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any content or other data that is false, inaccurate, unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, vulgar, obscene or invasive of another’s privacy.
